NFL Loses More Players: R.I.P. JERRY BROWN

Jerry Brown had just been signed to the NFL Dallas Cowboys practice squad two months prior to this fatal car accident that took his life.  When you look up Jerry's stats everything shows a zero.  This was considered to be his Rookie Year.  Jerry was 25 years old and had a child on the way.  

Jerry Brown was best friends with the man accused of taking his life Josh Brent.  Josh and Jerry attended the University of Illinois and played football together for 3 years.  Josh Brent was drafted into the NFL in 2010 as a 7th round pick by the Dallas Cowboys.  #92 was/is a nose tackle.

It is being said that Josh was intoxicated while driving and caused the fatal accident that killed Jerry.  Josh was arrested on the scene and was charged with intoxicated vehicular manslaughter when Jerry died.  Instead of playing on the field on Sunday Brent was being released from prison on a $500,000 bond.

During Sunday's game the Dallas Cowboys had Jerrys' jersey #53 laying on the bench the entire game.  

After winning Sunday's game 20-19 some of the players could be seen holding Jerrys' jersey in the air.
