MIA Flips the Bird While Performing at the Super Bowl 2012

Well, I must admit that the Super Bowl Halftime show was one of the best Halftime shows I have seen since Prince graced the field.  The entire performance went on without a Hitch...... EXCEPT M.I.A. flips the bird during her part of the performance. 

M.I.A. is a British singer, rapper and producer.  Most of us know her from her collaboration with T.I. for Swagger Like Us.

Well, it doesn't look as if M.IA. will get any backlash from making the obscene gesture during her performance.  When the wardrobe malfunction happened with Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake the FCC fined CBS $550,000; which was thrown out on appeal.  We'll keep our eyes and ears open for any updates on this situation. 

ONE THING IS FOR SURE WE WILL NOT SEE MIA ON ANOTHER SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!



KARDASHIANS WHY ARE YOU FAMOUS

WHERE TO START, AND DOES IT EVER END. The one thing we do not understand is WHY ARE THE KARDASHIANS FAMOUS.  It is known that Robert Kardashian the deceased father and husband of Kris, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Robert was a part of O.J. Simpsons Dream Team of lawyers including Johnnie Cochran.  But what is the reason that they have Celebrity, Fortune & Fame. 

Kris Kardashian remarried Bruce Jenner and they had two daughters.  The daughters Kylie and Kendall are becoming more and more seen on the show and in the public eye.  At this point Kris and Bruce have been married 20 years (April 21) this year will make 21 years.  The way I see it the Mom is a Marketing Genius.  She has made a brand out of the Kardashian name.  They sell everything from jewelry to clothes and perfumes to polish.  But again I ask WHY??????

We maybe could credit Robert Kardashian for opening the door of celebrity to his family, but unfortunately this is not the case.   We first learned about the family through a sex tape of Kim Kardashian & Ray J that was leaked to the public.

From the sex tape we got Kim doing TV interviews with talk show host such as Tyra Banks. From there we got the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians and all of its spin offs. 


 Kourtney had her son Mason and made money selling the pics of her son to the magazines.  Mom can't marry Kourt off because she's stuck and in love with her baby's father Scott Diseck.  Who is living off of Kourtney!!!!  If you're not living off of Kourtney Scott what type of work do you do?!?!!?!??!??  I can't hate the player though  Scott you did do the Kevin Federline and got Checkmate 1 and 2.

Kris married Khloe off to Lamar Odom formerly of the LA Lakers.  If you didn't know that this was a business deal then I don't know what to tell you.  30 days after meeting Khloe who hasn't had a steady boyfriend since we have seen her all of a sudden has a husband.  Yeah right.....  What Mrs Khloe Odom doesn't want anyone to know is that just previous to meeting her Lamar was dating Taraji Henson (actress) for a couple of months and asked for her hand in marriage....  Don't you hate being the rebound chick!!  After 3 years Khloe and Lamar seem to be making things work and it is rumored that Khloe is finally pregnant.  Khloe and Lamar have moved Dallas since he has been traded to the Dallas Mavericks.

Maybe Kim should have taken advice from Khloe on how to fake it til she made it.  Mom was able to marry Kim off to Kris Humpries who plays for the New Jersey Nets.  This put together wedding is the one of the reasons that the Kardashian family has lost alot of its gleam.  It lasted 72 days and was a waste of every one's time.  The NBA Lockout is what ruined Kim's fairy tale.  She thought that Kris would be on the road playing games and have less time at home.  With Kris being home that meant that Kim had to take the time to get to know him (LOL).  Too much work, huh Kim.  You never worked a day in you life.  Just Saying what you was thinking but was just scared to say.  Let's not forget that Kim also tried to marry NFL football player Reggie Bush.  That did not work Reggie wasn't going to marry her for money and publisity.  Even rapper Snoop Dogg had some harsh comments regarding Kim K.  Well, the only thing I have to state is IF THE SHOE FITS WEAR IT!!!!!!!!

Amar’e Stoudemire Brother Dies in Car Crash

New York Knicks Amar'e Stoudemire loses older brother Hazell Stoudemire in a car accident on US Route 27 ~ Florida this morning.  The police state that Hazell was speeding and slammed his Cadillac Escalade into the back of a tractor trailer at a high rate of speed.  Police are at this time trying to determine is alcohol played a factor in the accident.

Amar'e returned to Florida today to be with his family during this time of grievance.

Hazell Stoudemire, 35, was killed when he rammed his speeding 2007 Cadillac Escalade into the rear of a tractor trailer on U.S. 27 in Lake Wales, police said.



He wasn’t wearing a seat belt during the 1:42 a.m. crash and died instantly. Police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor.

Here are some of the things we do know about Hazell ~ I do wish there were more positive things to say about this young man.  I did not know him professionally or personally this is just what was out there in Internet land:

Hazell Stoudemire was high school basketball standout in Florida but got into trouble with the law at a young age.  In 1999, he was convicted of selling drugs and sexual abuse and went to prison.  He pleaded guilty to child abuse after being accused of getting a minor pregnant in 2004.  He went back to jail for eight months.  In 2008, his ex-wife accused him of raping her, but he was acquitted. She later recanted and pleaded guilty to perjury.  Two years later, he was arrested on a domestic violence charge for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman.

Nicki Minaj's Video for Stupid Hoe Banned from BET

BET has decided not to air Nicki Minaj's New Video for Stupid Hoe.  Stupid Hoe is a single from her newest album Roman in Moscow.  I haven't heard this song played anywhere as of yet.  You be the judge listen to the lyrics and watch the video.  Do you think BET was right for not giving this video airplay?  There are plenty of sexual explicit or erotic videos that BET does play why not play this one.

TMZ cites sources that said the video — in which Nicki repeat the refrain "You a stupid hoe" over and over and shows what appears to be her bare buttocks — to be too raunchy.

Leslie Carter Sister of Nick and Aaron Carter Dies

Leslie Carter sister of Back Street Singer Nick Carter and solo singer Aaron Carter dies.  It is unknown what caused Leslie's death at this time.  The family thanks fans for all there support and ask that they respect the families privacy while grieving for the loss of Leslie.  According to the Huffington Post 

Leslie was an aspiring singer and her single "Like Wow!" was even included on the soundtrack of the movie "Shrek" in 2011. Nick's younger sister also appeared on the family's 2006 reality show, "House of Carters."

Leslie, whose cause of death is unknown at this time, leaves behind her four siblings as well as a husband, Mike, and nearly one-year-old daughter, Alyssa Jane.
 

We here at MidNightStrip know the feeling all to well of losing a loved one as we just buried a Great Grandmother as well as a Great Aunt.

Stalley is our artist of the week.  He is a rapper.  He is signed to Rick Rozay's label #MMG Maybach Music Group.  I Love Stalley's rap flow, appearance and Music.  I first saw Stalley in his own music video on MTV Jams.  Then I saw him featured on the BET Hip Hop Cipher 2011 and that just made it official.  I purchased his CD and put all my friends and family members up on him.  While getting my hair done I made my hairdresser put it on 106 and Park, so that I could see Stalley and the premiere of Slapp featuring Rashad; which is on his album Lincoln Way Nights Deluxe Edition. (SLAPP also happens to be the song that my sister loves and always ask me to play when we in the car riding!!!!!)

I feel that Stalley's music is so real and he talks about his struggles and reps his hometown (MASSILLON, OH) to the fullest.  From what I see he is very motivated and determined.  If you haven't got the Album - Lincoln Way Nights Deluxe Edition- you must get it~~IT'S A CLASSIC!!!!

Don Cornelius Dead at 75

Mr. "Soul Train" Don Cornelius was found dead today in his Calfornia home.  Police state that Mr. Cornelius died from a self inflicted gun shot wound.  Don was 75.  It was also reported that Mr. Cornelius was suffering from some form of throat and lung cancer.  We can not confirm that information so we will just state that he had some health issues.  We do know that in 1982 Don underwent a 21 hour operation to correct some type of blood vessel malformation in his brain.  Don Cornelius hosted Soul Train from 1971 - 1993.  Soul Train has had a few other host and reruns do still run.  The video below shows Don Cornelius dancing down the infamous Soul Train Dance Line.  You can see Don dancing starting at 2:47 into the video and the again near the end:
